On module power-up, the goes through a power-up self-testsequence. During this, the test state is indicated by the front threeLEDs. The normal power-up procedure is as follows:

All LEDs are turned on for the duration of the RAM/ROM test. If thetest is passed, all LEDs will be turned off.

The ERROR LED will flash rapidly for few seconds as the DDCS linkbetween the NMBA-01 and the drive is initialised.

REC and XMIT LEDs will flash according to the data transferredbetween the NMBA-01 and the drive.

If a communication failure with one of the transmitters occurs, the FEC module works to restore communication while continuing normal operation. It checks the transmitter configuration upon restoring transmitter communication and normal process control continues.
